Can I see Stevie for Primary Care?
No. Stevie does not offer Primary Care Physician (PCP) services. This means she does not offer sports physicals, screening exams like Pap Smears or pelvic exams, emergency/wound care, vaccinations, or diagnosis of medical conditions. Stevie advises that you maintain a relationship with your PCP to assist you with your primary care needs.

How is seeing a Naturopathic Doctor different than seeing a Medical Doctor?
Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) bridge both modern science and traditional healing methods focused on the foundations of health via natural means. NDs take a full-systems approach that prioritizes the whole person rather than viewing symptoms in isolation. We seek to get to the root of health concerns rather than provide mere symptom management.

Are you a licensed Medical Doctor?
No. Whereas Stevie holds a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) degree from National University of Health Sciences, she is unable to be licensed in the state of Illinois as the state does not currently confer licensure to Naturopathic Doctors. Her degree should not be confused with that of a Doctor of Medicine (MD).

Do I need to be into Yoga or other Eastern Practices to benefit from Stevie's care?
No, not at all! Typically there are many misconceptions about these practices among Westerners; simply they are tools that may be suggested to help you build your diverse self-care toolkit. Whereas Stevie may make a particular recommendation, we will collaborate and choose mind-body practices that you are comfortable with and curious about. This is your life, and you deserve to have a say in the care you receive.

Can I speak to Stevie before signing-up as a client?
Of course! Stevie would love to speak with you; she offers a free 30-minute connection call (via Zoom) to all prospective clients' so you can determine if the services she provides are a good fit for you and your health needs/goals.

Does Stevie provide pharmaceutical medication management?
No. Whereas Stevie has extensive academic training in pharmaceuticals, she is unable to prescribe these medications. Despite these legal restrictions, NDs are experts in drug-herb interactions. By receiving care with an ND, you may eventually be able to reduce your medication usage and/or fully eliminate them depending upon your specific circumstances; however, any medication changes must be made by a licensed prescribing professional (MD/DO/NP).

Does Stevie accept insurance?
No. As an ND, Stevie is unable to directly bill insurance. However, she can provide you with a detailed super-bill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. She recommends checking with both your insurance company and your PCP about this possibility.

Do you have accessible options if I have financial concerns?
Absolutely! Stevie is committed to making the care she provides accessible to as many clients as possible. As of April 2026, Stevie is working to partner with her payment processing provider to establish "Buy Now; Pay Later" which will offer flexible financing options that helps you pay for the care you need over time. Once this is established, she will provide details about getting your account setup.

Does Stevie see clients' virtually or in-person?
Currently, all of Stevie's appointments are available online via Zoom, a secure, easy-to-use video platform. This allows her to serve clients internationally. For those local to the Chicago area, she also has an in-person location at Thien Era Naturopathic in Homewood, IL (opening summer 2026).
